How To Use Safely
Carefully over the sink only fill three- quarters of the bottle with hot water to minimise risk of bursting. Do not use boiling water. Carefully push out excess air before securely screwing on the stopper until hand-tight.
By removing the excess air, it stops the excess air heating up, expanding and possibly making the hot water bottle to burst.
To ensure the stopper is secure carefully turn the hot water bottle upside down to check for leaks.
All my hot water bottles show the British Standard (BS1970:2012).
It is recommended to replace your hot water bottle every 2 to 3 years. To help maintain your hot water bottle store empty without the stopper, ensure it is dry and not crushed to prevent it becoming pierced.
For Your Safety
Check your hot water bottle hasn’t become cracked, worn or leak from long term use.
Never place in the microwave or oven to heat.
Don’t sit or lie on it.
Always use in the cover so its not used directly on your skin.
Don’t sleep with the bottle in bed overnight, remove it once the bed is warm before you go to sleep.
Cover fits 2 litre hot water bottle – length (including neck) 32 cm by width 20 cm.
Wash at 30°C. Do not tumble dry. Allow to dry flat.
